Belongs to a family of staunch freedom fighters - Gadhri Baabe & Family elder S. Jassa Singh martyred whole fighting with British Army at Sabhran, Tehsil Patti . The British Govt. offered his grandfather the post of Tehsildar, which was outrightly refused by him.
Presently, working as Sr. Vice President, Aalmi Punjabi Virasat Foundation working towards promotion of peace among the communities of India and Pakistan since 2002 & Executive Member, Shaheedanwala Khuh Memorial Foundation, Ajnala. The NGO has exclusive contribution to the history of Nation as it has unearthed the "Well" in which several Indian Soldiers were killed by the British in 1857 during the Mutiny. Earlier the well was named "Kaalian Wala Khuh" but the NGO perused the matter with the Punjab Govt. and got the name changed to "Shaheedanwala Khuh" Political Works. Also Served as General Secretary, Folklore Research Academy working for the promotion of Indo-Pak Friends.
Volunteered in "Jan Lokpal Movement"and supported "India Against Corruption."Serving as Patron "Bachao Jawani Jive Punjab" Foundation - A Social Organization dedicated to save the youth of Punjab from the menace of drugs.

Work Experience
During previous tenure as CMD of PSPCL, worked towards reduction of AT&C losses (14.11 % 2018-19) through improved metering and curbing Theft of Energy and narrowing ACS-ARR gap through optimization of cost of Power purchase including record sale of Surplus Power outside Punjab ( 2268 MUs/ Rs. 1183 Cr) & Record Banking of power ( 2018-19, Export 5000 MUs) leading to no short term power purchase. As a result PSPCL loss was reduced to 38 Cr in 2018-19 from 907 Cr in 2017-18.Diligent follow up for operationalisation of Pachhwara Coal mine including appointment of Mining Developer cum Operator which was held up since 2015 was finalised which shall reduce coal cost by about Rs 600-800 Cr annually. Construction work of 206 MW Shahpur Kandi Project which shall benefit by about Rs. 500-600 Cr annually was restarted & renovation of Biomass based Jalkheri Project finalised/started & micro hydel projects were recommissioned. National Level rating of PSPCL which was B+ for 2016-17 improved to A+ (Top Ranking) in 2018-19. Regular supply was given to all the categories of consumers and no power cut was imposed during 2018-19 and 2019-20. Maximum demand of 13600 MW was met successfully during July 2019 against 11700 MW during July 2017 in spite of the retirement of 860 MW state thermals. IT initiatives resulted in PSPCL getting top position in the country in Digital payments during 2019-20 @ over 65% collection through digital modes which during 2017-18 was 9% only. Many consumer centric services started for Online release of New Connection, Joint ownership of AP Connections, VDS, OTS and reduced Charges for Shifting of overhead lines and Incentive to Industry for use of electricity in Night hours. Other measures like Inventory Control, Augmentation in Transmission & Distribution Capacity and operation of Generating station as per Merit Order etc. were taken. Special maintenance of the LD system resulted in exponential reduction in wheat crop fires from 169 no. in the harvesting season of 2018 to 66 no. in 2019 and 13 no. in 2020. About 9300 employees of different categories were recruited through a transparent procedure during this period. Power supply during 2019 in the flood affected areas of Kapurthala, Ropar etc was restored promptly. Regular power supply and other essential services were ensured during covid epidemic lockdown.
To commemorate 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji a new 66 KV sub station was dedicated to the 3people of Sultanpur Lodhi City. In order to provide uninterrupted power to Gurdwara Shri Ber Sahib. a special dedicated 11 KV line was erected.The project was completed within a record time of 3 months with total expenditure of 4 Rs crores.
Prior to appointment as CMD, vast experience in all the three main fields related to Electricity i.e. Distribution, Transmission and Generation. Had served as CE ARR/TR , CE Fuel and CE Hydel and before that in various capacities for 8 years in distribution, 6 years in Transmission and about 20 years in generation.

Tejveer Singh is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1994 Batch belonging to Punjab cadre.
He was educated at the Yadavindra Public School, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and went on to do BA (Honours) and Master’s in History from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He also holds a MSc degree in Public Management & Governance (with distinction) from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He is currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Departments of Investment Promotion, Industries & Commerce, and Governance Reforms.
Tejveer Singh has served earlier as Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Amritsar districts as well as Chief Administrator of GMADA. He has also served as Director Information and Public Relations and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
He also worked in the Government of India as faculty member of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie where he served as Deputy Director (Senior) and Joint Director from 2009 to 2017. He is interested in Public Policy and has also taught the discipline to civil servants at the National Academy.

Started his career in 1985 as Assistant Engineer and rose to the level of Engineer-in-Chief and served the PSPCL for more than 35 years in different important assignments rising to the position of senior most serving EIC in the organization.
His critical analysis and strong determination played a very important role in 2019, wherein PSPCL had achieved outstanding results in a campaign against theft of power detecting record revenue leakage of Rs 255 crore. Systematic and precise raids were conducted throughout Punjab to curb power theft. Legal actions has been initiated against 9 notorious gangs.
As EIC/ North Zone, Jalandhar, in a campaign against recovering defaulting amount from the consumers for not making the payments of their electricity bills in time, his role was outstanding. With his efforts North zone has successfully recovered more than rupees 10 crores within two months approximately, from defaulting consumers just before the pandemic Covid 19.
In the capacity of Dy. CE/ DS Jalandhar, he was responsible of identifying huge deficiency in transmission and distribution network and accordingly planned activities to ensure better reliability of supply, reduce AT&C losses below 15%, capacity addition of lines and sub-stations at 66KV and strengthening of DS system through erection of new lines, feeder bifurcation, re-conductoring of lines at 11 Kb & below with bare & insulated conductors/cable. He was also responsible for planning and executing APDRP project of worth Rs 192 crore which resulted in reduction of losses from 14.57% to 9.15% during his tenure.
