PSPCL met highest ever power demand inspite of Covid 19 pandemic: A.Venu Prasad

PSPCL CMD Shri A.Venu Prasad disclosed that inspite of the on going Covid 19 pandemic, Punjab State Power Corporation limited has successfully met highest ever power demand of 3018 lakh units on 2.7.2020, last year it was recorded 2999 lakh units on 3.7.2019.

CMD said that PSPCL is providing daily 8 hour power supply to its agriculture consumers in Punjab from 10th June, 2020 and also providing 24 hour power supply to all other categories of consumers in the State. CMD further said that all thermal(1616 MW)/hydel (850 MW) units of PSPCL and IPPs (3654 MW) witin the State have been pressed into service and are running to their full capacity to meet the demand of 13144 MW of the State.

CMD also said that PSPCL has a robust customer care system throughout the state for handling of complaints of the consumers round the clock and now consumers can also book complaints by giving a missed call on the PSPCL toll free number 1800-180-1512. In addition to these phone numbers consumers can also register their electricity related complaints via phone number 1912 by sms or phone call.
