Er. Baldev Singh Sran CMD PSPCL unfurling National Flag at Head Office here on 70th Republic Day .CMD also inspected the guard of honour by a team vigilance and security wing of PSPCL. On this occasion Sh.R.P.Pandove Director Administration, Er. N. K. Sharma  Director Distribution, Sh.Jatinder Goyal Director Finance, various HODs, senior officers and employees of corporation were present. CMD, Directors & their wives released tri colour balloons on the occasion.

While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Er.Baldev Singh Sran greeted all esteemed customers, Directors and all officials for 70th Republic Day celebrations. He  said that Republic Day  is a very special day for all Indian nationals. He said that  India got independence on August 15, 1947, and the Indian Council, under the chairmanship of Babasaheb Ambedkar, the draft constitution was passed by the committee on November 26, 1949 and become  effective on  January 26, 1950. Bharat Rattan Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s contribution to the Indian Constitution, he is  known as ‘Father of Indian Constitution’

At the Republic Day celebration, CMD congratulated   and appreciated the officials and employees of the corporation for their achievements.

CMD launched swipe machines for  payment of electricity bills today. Now, electricity consumers of Punjab can make payment of their bills by using their cards.It will enhance   consumers’ convenience and PSPCL’s commitment towards making things more easy for the people  of Punjab.

He said that it is a matter of great pride that in addition to uninterrupted supply during the summer and paddy seasons this  year, PSPCL has set a record for selling power of Rs 1037 crore in the year 2018-19 and which saved nearly 400 crore rupees. On Independence Day 2018, a mass awareness campaign was launched to popularize digital services provided by the corporation. The result of which made Punjab  state number 1 in digital segment at All India level.He said that PSPCL  received 1174 crore rupees through digital modes which is 60% of the total collection during December 2018.

And so far during  this year, total amount of Rs 9,150 crore has been received by digital mode.He further said that  the Technical Training Institute, Patiala of Punjab State Power Corp. Limited has been recognized as Category-I training institute by the Ministry of Power GOI.

For whom the staff of the HRD wing is the best suited to congratulate. CMD congratulated the officials / employees who are bringing glory to the PSPCL.

Sh.R.P.Pandove Director Administration said that under the dynamic leadership of Capt. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister and able guidance of Sh.Gurpreet Singh Kangar Power Minister Punjab, PSPCL has achieved new miles stones in Power sector.

He  said that under ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ mission of Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh, PSPCL  is committed to provide  jobs to the youth of the state. He said that PSPCL has already issued appointment letters to 2565 assistant lineman, 80 junior engineers, 229 sub station attendants. He said that in near future fresh recruitment of 158 LDCs would be made in the corporation.

He further said that tableau of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited declared as 1st at State Level Republic Day Function at Patiala Capt. Amarinder Singh  Chief Minister Punjab awarded  the  shield to Er. Baldev Singh Sran, CMD PSPCL,and members of the team.

On the occasion,16 nos officers/officials were honoured for their outstanding services to PSPCL.A cultural programme was also presented by PSPCL artists.
