Er. Baldev Singh Sran CMD PSPCL unfurled the National Flag on the 72th Independence Day celebrations here today. Sh.R.P.Pandove Director Administration, Er.O.P.Garg Director Commercial, Er.N.K.Sharma, Director Distribution, Sh.Jatinder Goyal, Director Finance and Er.S.K.Puri, Director Generation , HODs, Engineers, officers and officials of PSPCL participated in the function .CMD, Directors of the corporation and their wives released tri colour balloons on the eve.
Speaking on the occasion, Er .Baldev Singh Sran said that under the leadership and guidance of Capt. Amarinder Singh CM Punjab and Sh.Gurpreet Singh Kangar Power Minister Punjab, PSPCL had launched various consumer friendly schemes i.e VDS, One Time Settlement scheme, Paani Bachao, Paise Kamao,special camps for transfer of ownership of AP consumers etc. in the state. Speaking on the occasion. He said that PSPCL is committed to provide every possible facility to its consumers of Punjab.
During the celebrations, PSPCL has launched a significant drive regarding spreading of awareness about various digital bill payment methods. Er. Baldev Singh Sran informed that under this awareness campaign, a very informative leaflet containing salient features of available digital payment modes, charges of digital transactions and other important details will be distributed to electricity consumers of the state by attaching these leaflets with each and every electricity bills. Er. Sran appealed to all electricity consumers and employees of PSPCL to adopt digital payment techniques for electricity bills. In this way, consumers will enable to save their time, money and energy he added. CMD informed that people of Punjab have shown great enthusiasm in this digitalization drive. He said that with the support of electricity consumers, on July 16,2018, PSPCL has achieved a landmark in digital collections by collecting Rs. 220 crore on a single day. During July, 2018, 45.43% of total electricity collections of PSPCL has been received through digital modes, which is the highest record of digital collection in this segment in our country.
