Shri. A.Venu Prasad IAS, CMD PSPCL called upon all Chief Engineers /S.E.s of Distribution zones to play a proactive and positive role for providing more better consumers services in the state, while addressing a meeting of all chief engineers and superintending engineers of distribution at PSPCL headquarters here.
In the meeting CMD directed the engineers to release all new domestic /NRS new electricity connection and extension in load within one week of the receipt of application. He informed that there is no shortage of financial resources for the procurement of materials. CMD also directed that public complaints should be handled on top priority. He further said that a satisfied consumer is the best advertising agency for PSPCL. He emphasized for the utilization of IT tools for optimal measurement and evaluation of the system. In the meeting status of T& D Losses, Release of new connections, Dera Dhani connections , AP connections, utilization of SAP and issues relating to corruption cases, Tatkal scheme of connections ,maintenance, material shortage, SC/BC/BPL connections and employee cost etc. were reviewed in detail and depth. He also directed distribution officers to sensitize consumers and industry bodies regarding various digital payment options for their electricity bills. He said that all officers /officials should make untiring efforts to achieve at least 50% consumers should use the digital payment options.
CMD also emphasized that over all T& D losses have come down 1.5% in comparison of previous year and collection efficiency has also increased as comparison to the previous years. He also emphasized the need to make employee positive and take responsibilities for reducing commercial losses of the PSPCL.
