The primary function of Material Planning is to make available Material in different
PSEB Stores depending upon the field requirement and material procured by Chief
Engineer/MM after its clearance by CE/MM & SE/MS. Annual requirement of
material is prepared on the basis of consumption during the previous year, requirement
of filed offices depending upon the targets fixed for various works and available
stock at the ending of the year, is forwarded to MM Organization for procurement
action.
Daily Stock position of important items available at all the Stores is prepared
for making available the latest position to quarter concerned for assessing
the Stock Position to emphasis for procurement action by MM Organization where-ever
required for making available the material.
Various Computerised reports regarding project monitoring and inventory control,
computerised monitoring performance appraisal and control of transformers and
TRY accounting are generated under PROMISE COMPACT & TRYACT programmes by
DOEACC, Chandigarh in co-ordination with Computer Sub-Division attached with
Material Planning section.
