Punjab State Power Corporation Limited is committed to provide daily 8 hours uninterrupted power supply to agriculture consumers in the state for the paddy season from June 20 onwards and PSPCL has already made elaborate arrangements to provide power supply to its valuable  consumers, this was disclosed by Er. Baldev Singh Sran CMD  PSPCL here today.

Er. Sran said that the maximum demand recorded during the year 2017 was 11705 MW in July, which PSPCL had successfully met with the requirement by arranging power from all the available sources optimally.

It is anticipated that in the coming paddy season the maximum  demand  may rise up to 12500 MW and  PSPCL has already made arrangements for more than 13000 MW. The coal stock at PSPCL thermal Power stations  is sufficient and elaborate arrangements have been made for Rajpura Thermal Plant,Goindwal Sahib Power Plant and Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd.

CMD assured that all consumers of the Punjab would be provided continuous, uninterrupted and quality power supply. Daily power supply to all AP consumers in the state has been divided into 3 groups at each sub-station and   AP consumers of the PSPCL,along side the international border of Punjab  will be  provided 8 hours power supply in day timings.

Instructions have been issued to the officers/officials not to leave the headquarters during the paddy season, he added.  CMD said that in order to update the status of  supply position and redressal of grievances of the  consumers  special control rooms have been established at the zonal levels and one at Head office Patiala. He said that in addition to these numbers consumers in the state  can also register their electricity related complaints through phone number 1912 by sms or phone call or through PSPCL mobile app. available on Android and i Phone.zxc
