The process of evolving the new tax structure, has been a long exercise which has been carried out for more than 10 years with representation of State and Centre, thereafter, a comprehensive tax package in the form of GST bill has been introduced in India to ensure better tax compliance and to ensure smooth business transactions which shall raise GDP of the India by around 2%. This was stated by Sh. A.Venu Prasad IAS CMD while inaugurating a workshop on Goods and Service Tax at its Technical Training Institute at here today. The workshop organized by Human Resource Development wing of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited . The workshop was attended by Sh.. Subhash Arora Director/Finance, Er. N.K.Sharma Director/Distribution, Er. M.R.Parhar Director/ Generation and Er. O.P.Garg Director/HR. Sh. U.K.Panda Director/ Finance PSTCL also attended the workshop besides various heads of department, Dy. CAO, AOs and Engineering Officers dealing with the subject. Around 200 delegates attended the important workshop.
Sh. Vishal Garg CA was the faculty for the workshop and he highlighted the basics of the new law and various return/application on behalf of PSPCL. Sh. Subhash Arora Director/Finance desired that such workshops should be replicated at the zonal level also .
Sh. A.Venu Prasad IAS CMD PSPCL also released Training Calendar for PSPCL which is the first initiative by the organization to stress focus on the training aspects.
Er. Jaswinder Paul Chief Engineer/HRD thanked the faculty and delegate who participated in the workshop.
